DESCRIPTION
This conference is part of the long-established Preventive Cardiology series, which has, for many years, attracted broad interest from healthcare professionals and researchers involved in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of cardiovascular disease. As in previous years, the programme will feature distinguished national and international faculty members, including leading experts and renowned opinion leaders in the field.
The conference will bring together a multidisciplinary audience of clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals, including cardiologists, internists, endocrinologists, diabetologists, family physicians, dietitians, physiotherapists, epidemiologists, healthcare managers, and specialists from medicine and the health sciences.
The scientific programme will focus on:
- prevention and management of cardiovascular diseases, including hypertension, dyslipidaemia, tobacco dependence, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and atrial fibrillation;
- prevention and treatment of obesity;
- management of patients with cardiovascular disease and comorbidities;
- cardiovascular risk factors and their impact on population health;
- lifestyle medicine;
- innovations and emerging technologies in preventive cardiology, including the application of artificial intelligence;
- expert consensus statements and clinical practice guidelines, including those issued by the European Society of Cardiology (ESC);
- epidemiology of cardiovascular disease;
- findings from the latest Polish and international studies on cardiovascular risk factors and population health.
Preventive Cardiology 2026 will offer two days of inspiring lectures, expert panel discussions, and scientific debates featuring more than 100 leading specialists.
A special accompanying event will be the Morning Run around Kraków's Planty Park, an educational initiative designed to promote the importance of regular physical activity in the prevention of cardiovascular disease.
